The screening exercise was conducted from 29th November to 3rd December 2025 under the Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF) Standard Allocation. It aimed not only to strengthen early detection and referral but also to generate localized, real‑time data to inform nutrition program planning and advocacy. The activity further supported community health systems by building the capacity of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in screening, referral, and digital data collection.
This intervention was particularly important in IDP‑hosting areas of Dinsor, where new arrivals and protracted displacement have heightened vulnerability to malnutrition. By combining technical screening with community engagement, the exercise contributed to improved resilience and accountability in nutrition programming.
